These earrings draw inspiration from a filigree tiara elaborated by Jacob Tostrup, a Norwegian jewelry designer (1806-1890) who lived in Christiania, a bohemian district in Denmark's capital. He was appointed a Knight of the Royal Norwegian Oder of St. Olav for his work as a goldsmith.
The original ornaments are preserved in The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in New York.
Earrings are handmade in Colombia out of .950 silver by an artisan specialized in the art of ancient filigree.
