These earrings draw inspiration from a pair of earrings found in Iran and believed to belong to the 12-13 century. Filigree jewelry was popular in medieval Syria and Iran.
The original earrings are preserved in The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in New York.
Earrings are handmade in Colombia out of .950 silver by an artisan specializing in the art of ancient filigree.
